the moment/performance of recording-as-practice is a moment of simultaneously discovering, transmitting and receiving story. it is an allowance for listening as care, an embodied practice that also invites the future discovery of a different story.
in recording-as-practice, we are unsure what stories will make themselves felt in the moment, and which will be revealed later in the recording. they are uncovered through a path we travel using sound as a guide. the sound is our seer, our compass. it tells us which way to go at the fork, whether or not to crash through the brush or keep to the trail, both on the day, and later, in the studio, on listening, on considering.
as part of the archive of silences, sinha undertakes a number of sound, writing and performance projects that fall under the category of recording-as-practice.
